Oat Milk, The Newest Plant-Based Milk

Let’s get to the bottom of this Oat Milk hype.

So, what is oat milk? Oat milk is a creamy blend of oats and water that bears a resemblance to milk – without it being milk. Simple enough, right?

In its purest form, oat milk contains only two ingredients, gluten-free oats and filtered water. It has a bit of a resemblance to dairy milk – and makes for a frothy addition to lattes.

Since oat milk has more of a plain/neutral flavor and a thinner consistency in comparison to almond milk, store brands often like to add sugar, thickeners, gum, and flavorings. However, we don’t add anything to our oat milk, it is delicious enough!

Benefits of oat milk

  • Allergy Free: It does not contain casein, lactose, or gluten.
  • Absorption: Oats contain beta-glucan, a soluble fiber that helps your gut absorb more vitamins and minerals.
  • Environmentally Friendly: Oat milk is friendlier to the environment than some other plant-based milk alternatives. This is because oats require far less water to grow compared to other plant based milks.
  • It’s Clean: Our oat milk does not contain any additives. (Chances are, you already know that, because nothing we serve contains anything less than awesome.) Oat milk brands more than often add bad additives to stabilize, sweeten, or thicken. Gross!

We have bottled pumpkin oat milk in our coolers this season! *
